If you're a tight arse like me and don't mind watching free movies, then you should check this out on Wednesdays at the Chifley Plaza.

I only found out about it today so decided to investigate. They were screening 'Doro no kawa' aka Muddy River. If you hate kids, you probably won't enjoy it, but I found it to be very charming. You need to get there early though for decent seats otherwise peoples heads get in the way of the subtitles, then you have to pretend to laugh when everyone else is laughing.
