Antics.

Yesterday I put my Interpol ticket in an envelope, sticky taped it and put it in the safe at work.

Tonight I will staple the envelope to my shirt where it will remain until such time that I need to produce the ticket to gain entry into the Enmore.

My bad luck continues

I lost my Bloc Party ticket on the way to the concert.

Some hack has their grubby hands on my iPod at the moment.

I can't believe I decide to lose it one week before the snows.

I feel sick.

soundnosound

I was a bit bored on Saturday so I decided to go out of my comfort zone and check out something completely different. The place was Sound No Sound at the Mandarin Club.

Everyone there seemed to be on acid. There were at least 5 people literally rolling around on the floor and taking pictures of the carpet. One person was on his feet facing a wall the entire time I was there.

Kinda bummed that I missed most of it as it was actually kind of interesting. The one act I saw was playing the cello over some programmed organ type sound.

As I was walking out, someone recommended I check out Justice Yeldham & the Dynamic Rhythm Device. By 'rhythm device', he means plexiglass. This glass is connected to some wires connected to some mic/amp. He plays it by rubbing this piece of glass on his face.

Now why didn't I think of that?

EDIT: Haha, found a pic of Justice Yeldham.

BEAUX!

Chris Inperspective completely owned on Friday. I'll go so far as saying that it was probably the gig of the year for me so far. I didn't have any doubts that he'd play a mean set, I was a bit more worried about the crowd turnout. But the fact that it was rammed and had a proper jungle vibe in there just made it all the more sweeter. Fuuuck!

All in all a pretty good d&b weekend. Calyx was on the night before at the Civic which wasn't too bad either.. except for their ridiculous drink prices. Good thing Shark Hotel was around the corner. Errrbody!
