bigger than cigarettes

some good things are happening on the music front. kid koala & rjd2 are back. last year, i had a lapse in decision making and decided to stay home while these two ripped shit up at the gaelic club. it looks like i'll miss out on rjd2 again (slip inn.. yes.. i will refuse to go there) but kid koala is a goer. how sick does this sound:

Kid Koala describes this new 3 hour long, 3 DJ, 8 turntable, piano, slide, video, and electronic show;"It's inspired by episodes of 'The Muppet Show' and 'Monty Python's Flying Circus'. I imagined if all the Muppets bought turntables and did an episode of the show on stage it might end up a little like this. There are loud moments, there are melancholy moments and there are silly moments. It's DJ Jester, P-Love and myself with 8 turntables set up in five turntable stations like a band (one for each layer of the track) and we have to move around between the different stations depending on what we're doing on each track.

and ooo this thursday night sees dj spooky and atmosphere playing at the becks bar. finally i get to check out atmosphere jammin with a live band and a chance to have slug's man babies - hug me now!

i'm going on a holiday

i'll be lounging in this pool in about three weeks time and i simply can't wait. see on the top right there, in the spa, is where i'll be reading my book. and in the middle of that picture somewhere hidden under those palm trees is a pool side bar where scantily clad women will be serving unlimited alcohol. they will also feed me green seedless grapes and custard danish pecan pies.

it's my eating habits compressed in a 30 day time frame. i felt nauseous after watching it. i need to go and have a cigarette.

a nice surprise

i found two dead rats in my backyard the other day. instead of throwing them to the neighbours, i decided to ring pest control, secretly hoping they'd come in and remove the mess themselves. no luck. the voice on the phone said they only came out if there were live rodents about, not already dead ones. they think that the people next door might have set up baits in their yard and the bastards decided our ground would be a good place to die. stupid rats. i have a photo of them in their make shift coffin. when my computer decides to act normal for a change, i'll put them up on here, because deep down, everyone loves to see two dead rats in a shoe box.

i heart cold air

after four days without air con at work, it feels like the best thing in the world. remind me to kick humidity in the nuts.
